Pastor Alonzo D. Williams, a St. Louis native, has been serving faithfully as the pastor of BereaCurby Presbyterian Church since February 2014.
Located at 2621 Utah St., St. Louis, MO 63118, BereaCurby Presbyterian Church emerged in 2019 through the merger of Berea and Curby Memorial Presbyterian Churches. This union was guided by Pastor Williams’ vision to create a thriving community of faith grounded in compassion and inclusivity.
Pastor Williams’ journey in ministry is deeply rooted in his belief that everyone deserves a strong relationship with God, and that God’s grace has the power to restore and make any person whole, irrespective of their past. His commitment to fostering spiritual growth and healing within his congregation is central to his leadership.
Pastor Williams holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources Management with a minor in Psychology from Southeast Missouri State University. Furthering his education in the field, he earned a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management from Lindenwood University. Answering the call to ministry, he pursued a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. His journey of learning continues as he works toward a Doctor of Ministry in Pastoral Counseling, with an anticipated graduation date of summer 2025 from Liberty University.
Family is of utmost importance to Pastor Williams. He is married and is the proud father of five children, four biological and one niece whom he has lovingly raised as his own. His family provides Pastor Williams with strength and inspiration, fueling his passion for community service and pastoral care. As Pastor Williams leads BereaCurby Presbyterian Church into the future, his primary objective remains clear: to nurture a community where individuals can develop a profound and personal connection with God. Under his guidance, BereaCurby Presbyterian Church stands as a beacon of hope and redemption in the heart of St. Louis.
